ABOUT
THE NEUTRAL DOG
OUR PHILOSOPHY.
At The Neutral Dog, we believe training is about more than teaching cues. It’s about building a lifetime of trust, understanding, and happiness.
We train with compassion, because every dog and every person deserves patience and kindness.
We build confidence, so both ends of the leash feel capable and supported, whether you’re raising a puppy, working through reactivity, or preparing for therapy or service work.
And above all, we celebrate joy because training should be fun, rewarding, and something you and your dog look forward to every day.
This is where lasting skills are taught, bonds are strengthened, and happy lives together are made.

I am the owner and trainer at The Neutral Dog. I knew I wanted dog training in some form in my future when I started volunteer puppy raising for Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind & America's VetDogs. I absolutely loved raising, teaching classes, and helping other puppy raisers.
Once I graduated from the University of Maryland, I found a job with Warrior Canine Connection, an ADI-accredited Service Dog Organization, and continued volunteer puppy raising. Addy, my golden girl and number one training partner, came in to my life while raising puppy #3!
After a move to Virginia Beach, I got valuable experience working in the medical field before returning to dog training through Freak on a Leash. From there I got my certification through Karen Pryor Academy, learned from incredible trainers and worked with hundreds of pet dogs of various breeds through 1-on-1 training and group classes.
When the time came to move back to MD, I knew that I wanted to start my own business and expand to officially offer Service Dog training.
Whether you have a puppy, need to work on basic manners, you're training your own service dog, or need help with behavior issues, I can't wait to work with you!
CREDENTIALS.
Dog trainers do not need any credentials in order to work with dogs and their people. However, to best serve my clients I have chosen to get certified through Karen Pryor Academy and Cooperative Paws and become an AKC Evaluator.

MY FAVORITE THINGS
Ever wonder what a dog trainer with a soft spot for calm spaces, happy dogs, and no-nonsense favorites swears by? You’re in the right spot.
These are the things I use every day from enrichment toys to everyday essentials that make life a little smoother for both ends of the leash. All tested, all loved, and all chosen to help you create a life that feels a easier, calmer, and more joyful.
